ASSOCIATION BACKGROUND
The Selangor Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Economic Association, better known as PeKUSEL, was established on March 11, 2022, by 7 Pro-tem Committee members, all of whom have entrepreneurial backgrounds. The association was established and registered in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, a rapidly developing new town in Selangor, with the ROS registration number PPM-004-10-11032022.
Although newly established, PeKUSEL, which has approximately 50 registered members, already has its own operating office and entrepreneurial training academy center, sponsored by one of the association’s Pro-tem Committee members, Mr. Hisham Yusoff, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bayu Gagah Marketing Sdn Bhd, at the address No. 58-G, Jalan Equine 1B, Taman Equine, 43300, Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
Among the great successes of PeKUSEL, despite being newly established, is its participation in the Selangor Halal Industry Expo – SELHAC. It has also successfully established strategic collaborations with both Government and Private Agencies such as Teraju Ekonomi Asnaf Sdn Bhd, the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS), and has cooperated with the UniKL Foundation. PeKUSEL has also officially obtained permission from the Subang Jaya City Council to organize an Entrepreneurs’ Bazaar at the Puchong Permai Hawkers Center Square every weekend.
